German Based Company to Spend $1.75B on New Baytown Facility.

German based polymer manufacturing company Covestro announced it will spend $1.75B to build a new Methylene Diphenyl Diiscyanate (MDI) plant at their company owned site in Baytown, Texas. Producing an estimated 500 kilotons a year and will replace the existing 90 kiloton train. Annual maintenance costs should run at approximately $35 million/year.
