Fortress Xylitol Inc., the xylitol R&D arm of Fortress Global Enterprises, is receiving $10 million in funding from Natural Resources Canada to help build a xylitol and complementary bioproducts demonstration plant.

The plant will be located at Fortress's dissolving pulp mill in Thurso, Quebec.

The demo plant is intended to demonstrate technology for the co-production of value-added and sustainable bioproducts that can help transform the mill into a biorefinery.
